Presenting Native American Art

Katie Byers, left, an Interior Designer with MA+ Architecture, Erin Merryweather (center) Red Earth Director of Programs; and Gary Armbruster, a Principal and Architect of MA+ Architecture, view an exhibit at the Red Earth Gallery in Oklahoma City.  Byers has worked over the last two years to help the Red Earth Gallery enhance the presentation of Native American art.  As the gallery expanded, so did MA+'s pro bono work.  When Red Earth acquired adjacent space, MA+ helped connect displays in two spaces.  "The design required creating a new corridor through some existing gallery and storage rooms then punching a hole through the tenant dividing wall to gain access to the new area,"  Byers said.  "It marked a tremendous difference in the flow of traffic and makes the viewing a much more enjoyable experience."
